The Product Design
Traditionally, it has undergone rapid changes, from a web development approach to a structured UX and Design Thinking process. Therefore, from a practical perspective, it is based on coding and engineering knowledge to a massive focus on users’ behaviors, businesses, and results. Every year, as designers, we should be able to identify specific trends in order to understand the progressive steps in our industry.
What about 2022?
Currently, we are in the middle of a significant golden age of Digital Product Design. There’s a high-speed transformation is taking place from a long-established business to customer and design focus. My intention is not to predict all the trends, but aim to identify and reflect on the present year in a new light.
Culture for the next generation
In graphic design, the new generation has been able to see their predecessors’ work thanks to annals, books, physical archives and exhibitions. In Product Design the ephemeral nature of media based on digital pixels, shows how difficult it is to conserve past artworks and culture.
Web is moving rapidly, and often exceptional designs are quickly replaced by new versions. So It’s very hard to track and share information.
